Our School
Mission
Pacific Cascade Middle School prides itself on being an inclusive community that builds character, inspires excellence, and ignites futures.
Pacific Cascade opened as a freshman campus in 2005 and reopened as a middle school in 2010. Our school includes students from Sunny Hills, Grand Ridge, Clark and Sunset Elementary schools. All students from Pacific Cascade go on to Issaquah High School. The rapid growth of the Highlands has our school bursting at the seams!
The HEROES goals are intended to show our commitments; those behaviors that we believe are important to our students and families. The three main themes in our elective departments are technology, health and fitness, and performing arts. The academic program is designed to provide a flexible plan for all students so we can offer a combination of classes to meet the individual needs of our learners.
Family and community involvement is offered through our strong PTSA, the VOICE mentors and parent volunteers. Favorite events at school include the September BBQ and the Career Fair in January.
Pacific Cascade offers a multi-aged, comprehensive advisory program that we call Lynx Life. Students are assigned an advisor and remain with that class for all three years of middle school. Working in tandem with Lynx Life is our WEB program (Where Everyone Belongs). This program offers leadership training to up to 60 8th grade students.
Students and staff at Pacific Cascade strive to live and work at school with a balance of hard work and a little bit of fun. Go Lynx!
I acknowledge that I am on the Indigenous Land of Coast Salish people who have reserved treaty rights to this land, specifically the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe (sdukʷalbixʷ). I thank these caretakers of this land who have lived and continue to live here since time immemorial.
