Author Visit!

Author Daksha Slater shared her stories, Accountable and The 57 Bus, with all 8th-grade LA+ students on Friday, March 1, 2024.  All students had read one non-fiction book, and there were 8 chosen panelists who read one of the books and prepared questions for the author based on the books. Students learned about Daksha’s background in journalism, how outlining is a key piece of writing, the persistence it takes to get books published, and how small decisions we make can have great impacts.
