We have published authors right here at PCMS! Mrs. Murphy's language arts classes collaborated on a book of poetry based on their reading of the novel Warriors Don't Cry by Melba Patillo Beals. The poems are based on themes the students found in this powerful book. There were six topics students decided to choose from: courage; patience; peer pressure; perseverance; forgiveness; and faith. All three of Mrs. Murphy’s classes agreed on the content and formatting of the work.
Due to the PTSA’s generosity, each student received a copy of their own. Our school library also has two copies available for everyone that wants to enjoy this important book.
