WEB Leaders Welcome Sixth-Graders: Building Connections and Community

Web leaders stand in circle with new sixth graders

The excitement of starting a new school year can feel overwhelming, especially for our sixth-graders. Fortunately, PCMS has a fantastic program in place to help ease the transition—WEB, or Where Everyone Belongs. Just before the school year kicked off, WEB leaders, composed of our outstanding eighth-graders, welcomed the incoming sixth-graders, offering guidance and support as they navigated the unfamiliar halls of middle school.

This connection doesn’t end with orientation, either. WEB leaders will continue to meet with their sixth-graders once a month during Lynx Life, their homeroom class period. These monthly meetings will include fun activities, games, and community-building exercises designed to strengthen bonds and help students feel more connected as they settle into their new school environment.

WEB’s mission is simple but powerful: to create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere where every student can thrive. We can’t wait to see how these young leaders continue to build relationships and spread positivity throughout the school year!
