Where Everybody Belongs Sparks Excitement on Campus

Where Everybody Belongs (WEB) is designed to make every sixth grader feel at home from the very first day. This initiative pairs enthusiastic eighth graders—our WEB leaders—with incoming sixth graders to guide them through orientation and beyond. With the support of the YMCA, these student leaders are learning to create a warm and welcoming environment where friendships flourish and new students gain confidence.

Last week, specialized coaches from the YMCA visited our school to train our eighth graders in the art of facilitation. During spirited workshops filled with role-playing and teamwork challenges, our WEB leaders sharpened their communication skills, learned to collaborate effectively, and discovered creative ways to spark meaningful conversations.
